District 9 (HMV UK BD Steelbook)

  1. This is a nice steelbook, I got just got the DVD version at the end of last month, even though I had a blu ray player by then because it was £5 less lol. I'm such a cheapskate:P

    I read the pic quality on this was superb as well. I loved this movie, I had not seen it until I got the dvd. The DVD version packaging is exactly the same as this version incase you wondered? I'll probably double dip on a blu ray version one day if it's super cheap (like £3 cheap) and stick it in this tin, you would not know it was not always supposed to be that way ;P

    It's a great steel (so it really is, 'cause you know I'm more of a digi person, lol) and a great movie. If anything this one is worth the double dip :)

  3. I'm not a big fan of steelbooks so I never go out of my way to get them, but the artwork on this was sooooo nice. since this cost me under £9 and the Blu was something like£14-£16, if I get the blu for £4 as a double dip it will be just like I got the Blu in the first place :D

    Not in any hurry for it, but at least I'll not feel guilty buying it again at that price when it does end up in a sale.

  4. I wasn't a steelie fan either - but I am now! Well, I like some of them at least, this one def.
    Futureshop exclusives are grand as well. I'm still trying to find those, but the price they're going for these days is pretty insaine. :)

  5. I have a few Steelbooks but most that I got where just first print ones I was buying the movie for and it just happened to be in a SB.

    Movies like Duel and Total Recall. The only reason I don't like them? I'm not sure how long they will last before they rust lol. Time will tell I suppose:P

  7. They won't rust... just water your plants instead of steelbooks and you should be fine. :)

    I got German Horsemen steel today, Dennis Quaid. Love the coverart!! I enjoyed it, it was good, though I was a little disappointed with the way it ended. You do expect it, but you still wish there was something more disturbing to it than that. If I had to choose, I'd rather see se7en again, but this one isn't bad either.

  8. Oh I see,now that's where I've been going wrong, I'm sure I read someplace that you store your steelbooks in the bath lol.

    I've never even heard of Horsemen before, had a quick look over at IMDB and it does not ring any bells.
